Anti theileria spp
(Active ingredient) Each ml contains:buparvaquone 50 mg
Buparvex is indicated in treatment of all forms of theileriosisof cattle especially Theileria annulata and Theileria parva.Buparvex is used to treat clinical and subclinical cases oftheileriosis, also it can be used during the incubation period.Buparvaquone kills theileiral schizonts (in lymphoid cells) andpiroplasms (in red blood cells) and it suppresses pre-schizontstages during the incubation period of the disease. Usually itdoes not completely eliminate the infection so cured animalscontinue to carry a sub-clinical infection.
Administration and Dosage :
- Mild and moderate infections: 1 ml of Buparvex per 20 kg b.w(2.5 mg buparvaquone per Kg) IM injection.
- Severe and acute infections: After 48/72 h later administer withsame dosage again.Suggested site of injection is neck muscle due to highestabsorption rate occur.
- Prophylaxis: During incubation period and subclinical infectionuse a single dose same as mild treatment.
Only administration route is IM.It must not be injected intravenously. Buparvex is poorly absorbed after subcutaneous administrationand its curative effect is greatly reduced.
